This tea is harvested in the Bac ha district in the Lao Cai province in the Vietbac region of northern Vietnam. The subtropical climate in this region is known for its high mountains, extensive forests and terraced slopes of tea. Commercial cultivation in this area has helped to reduce poverty and is creating a more sustainable economy for the people there.
Grown at an altitude around 1100m, this tea has gray-green, well-formed leaves. When brewed the leaves open to large green leaves with a pale green colored cup, a steamed spinach aroma, and full body with a vegetal, sweet taste.
Brew tea at 180º – steep for 2 minutes.
