This famous rare tea, from the San Xia area in Northern Taiwan, is one of the very few places in Taiwan that produces green tea. At a relatively lower altitude of 200 to 300 meters above sea level, San Xia is a hilly area located in the New Taipei City, surrounding the capital Taipei City. San Xia is well known for Honey Black and Pi Lo Chun Green teas.
When steeped, the grayish green, slightly tippy leaves open into long, green leaves with a taste that is sweet and smooth, without any astringency, and offers delicious notes of nori (seaweed).
Brew tea at 180º – steep for 2 minutes. Multiple infusions are recommended.
