Chai Masala (Spiced Tea) is a tea blend with origins in India. It is traditionally a mix of black tea and spices that is steeped in milk with sweeteners added to it. This distinctive caffeine-free herbal blend of classic Indian spices has a taste that is heavenly and exotic! You can vary the ingredients and add your favorite tea to create your own signature Chai.
Ingredients: Organic cinnamon pieces, cardamom seeds, organic black peppercorns, organic whole cloves, orange peel, organic ginger pieces, organic anise seed and Indian sarsaparilla.

Basic Herbal Chai Recipe:
1 cup water
2 tsp Herbal Masala
1 cup milk
2 tsp sugar
Place water and herbs in a saucepan on the stove and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 9 minutes.
After 9 minutes, add the milk and sugar, stir, and simmer for 1 more minute.
Strain and enjoy!
Tea Variation:
Place water and herbs (as above) in a saucepan on the stove and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 7 minutes.
Add the milk and sugar (as above) and 2 tsp. of your choice of tea (we prefer Indian Black teas, but you can also try a Green tea, Rooibos or Tulsi). Simmer for 3 minutes. Strain and enjoy!
This blend is open to many variations. You can alter the type of tea, sweetener or milk to concoct your own delicious beverage.
If you prefer a dairy-free version, simmer the herbs in water on the stovetop for 10 minutes and then strain.

2 cup water
4 tsp Herbal Chai Masala
Eggnog
Nutmeg
Put herbs and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain and chill.
Fill an 8oz glass with 1/2 egg nog and 1/2 chilled Herbal Masala. Sprinkle with nutmeg and enjoy!
Herbal Chai Pear Daiquiri

Herbal Chai simple syrup:
½ cup water
½ cup sugar
1 Tbsp Herbal Chai Masala
Heat in a small saucepan over low heat for 5 minutes, then strain out the spices.
Cocktail:
2oz rhum
½ oz Herbal Chai simple syrup
½ oz fresh lemon juice
1 oz pear juice
1/8 tsp vanilla extract
Lemon twist
Combine the rhum, syrup, juices and vanilla in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake until chilled. Pour into a chilled glass. Garnish with lemon peel.
