When you first smell this coffee, your olfactory senses are assailed with a rich fruity aroma, reminiscent of cherries. This complex, sweet coffee has hints of fruit, chocolate and caramel and a subtle smoky taste that keeps it from becoming overpoweringly sweet.
This coffee is from the Santa Rosa region located on the Pacific coast in the far south-central of the country. It is the largest coffee producing region. Coffee grown here has been blessed with favorable condition including a rich partly volcanic soil with the alternating daytime heat and chilly cool nights. Grown at elevations of 2850 to 3100 feet and harvested from December thru March. The hard compact beans have been washed & sundried.
